LOVE, TIE (Animated Short)

In Love, Tie, a young boy dreams of becoming a businessman like his dad. For Career Day at school, he decides to wear a tie but struggles to tie it properly. After an unsuccessful attempt, he insists on redoing it alone on the bus to prove he's "a man." At school, his classmates mock his crooked tie, but just as he's about to feel defeated, his male teacher, steps in to help. Through humor and heart, Love, Tie  teaches a simple yet powerful lesson about pride, vulnerability, and growth.

 *Stop-Motion Animation Short by Ky Beaux*

"Super Kario" is a stop-motion animated short that pays homage to the *Paper Mario* series, made entirely from construction paper. The short introduces "Kario", a Black American version of Mario, as he faces off against Bowser in a vibrant, paper-crafted world inspired by the flat, 2D style of the "Paper Mario" games.

"Super Kario" blends nostalgia and innovation, celebrating representation and creativity. 

 Created with the Sam Noble Museum in Norman, home to one of the largest vertebrate fossil collections in the U.S. The animation brings the *Acrocanthosaurus*, a fearsome predator from the Early Cretaceous period, to life, roaming what’s now Texas and Oklahoma about 110 million years ago. Using fossil photos curated by Jennifer Larsen and studied by Dr. Jacqueline Lungmus, Ky Beaux faithfully recreated the dinosaur’s structure and movement, delivering a scientifically accurate depiction.
